Eighth edition of the "Friendly Municipality" program

Staszów received the title of "Friendly Municipality 2016" in the rural-urban municipalities category. The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, 12th of October 2016, during the Polish Tourism Conference in Świdnica.

The program's committee rated our municipality as one of the best in Poland. Committee appreciated our activities towards attracting investors and improving overall standard of living for citizens and visitors alike. Furthermore, the Municipality of Staszów distinguished itself from others through its utmost care for local cultural heritage and by organizing numerous cultural and social events. The title of "Friendly Municipality" attests not only to the best service of Municipal and Communal Office, but also to our utilization of innovative solutions and technologies to integrate local traditions with modernity.

The "Friendly Municipality" awards were given by ForumBiznesu.pl web portal. All winners' profiles will be available in the lastest issue of "Rzeczpospolita". Other municipalites who received this year's award: Wieruszów, Tarczyn, Sobótka, Międzychód, Góra Kalwaria, Będzin, Kędzierzyn Koźle, Piotrków Trybunalski, Dąbrowa Górnicza and Poznań.

The program's goal is to specify a direction of development and to promote municipalities' economical and social growth. The program also deals with ecology, tourism and historical heritage.

This title is attested by a "Friendly Municipality 2016" certificate.
